Kathy Booker
is presented with the Wilmington Chamber's Employee of the month trophy for her courteous service from behind the order counter at Nelly's Restaurant 140 Bridge St. The nomination for the trophy included a comment that, "Kathy knows her customers well, often knowing what they want when they come in the door." Nelly's has been open for just more than a year and Kathy has been a friendly smile there since. At right is Chamber ambassador Randy May who presented the traveling trophy. Amy Burnes
of the Law Offices of Tryner, Francis & Tryner was nominated by the public for the Wilmington Chamber of Commerce's employee of the month. Burnes receives the traveling trophy with the support of her bosses, (from left) Joe Tryner, Bill Francis and John Tryner. Burnes, a secretary for the firm, is noted as being a hardworking employee and great asset to the firm.














Dawn Venstrom, office secretary at the First Christian Church in Wilmington, was recently presented with the Wilmington Chamber's Employee of the Month trophy for her outstanding service. Pastor Dallas Henry presented Venstrom with the honor, noting that the nomination sent in by the public said that "Dawn goes out of her way to inspire a friendly attitude at FCC and she takes care of the little things that seem to go unnoticed." Venstrom was also praised for her smile and cheerful attitude. To nominate a deserving employee who works at a Wilmington are business, see the form in this publication.













Bonnie Taylor
, office secretary at Stevens Intermediate School, is presented with the Wilmington Chamber of Commerce award for her outstanding courtesy and professionalism in dealing with the public. Randy May of the Chamber's Ambassador's committee, presents the traveling trophy. Taylor has been working for District 209-U for almost 11 years now. She said working with the kids makes her job most enjoyable. She is active in the Island City Baptist Church, where her husband Ron Taylor is pastor, the local PEO and the Christian Help Association.

Charlee Cahoon, (center) office manager for Kenneth J. Laczynski Agency, 220 S. Water St., Wilmington is presented with the Wilmington Chamber of Commerce's employee of the month trophy. The chamber received nominations for Charlee based on her level of professionalism and customer service over the past 11 years with American Family Insurance. At left Ken Laczynski, owner of the agency, while presenting the trophy on behalf of the Ambassador's Committee of the Wilmington Chamber is Randy May.
