Sylvia Staniec (right) of Absolute Home Care in Wilmington accepts the Wilmington Chamber’s employee of the month trophy for June from Chamber Ambassador Holly Barker from the Launching Pad Drive-In. Staniec was nominated by the public, noting that she is dependable, caring and kind. “I love my job at Absolute Home Care,” said Staniec. “Working with my seniors is very rewarding and fulfilling. I love each of them and even the difficult ones soon come to love me.” She said that after working 17 years in accounts payable, an office setting, she wanted a more meaningful job. “This is the rewarding job that I was looking for, helping, assisting, being kind to and patient with someone who needs my assistance and most times appreciates me being in their home.”
