The Employee of the Month trophy was recently presented by the Wilmington Chamber of Commerce to Ray Atchey who helps service customers at The Launching Pad Drive-in. Chamber ambassador Judy Wunderlich (left) presents the traveling trophy to Ray, thanking him for being so friendly. “Ray is so friendly he is our favorite part of visiting the Launching Pad,” his nomination from the public read. Atchey said he loves meeting people who stop at the Wilmington diner, and he tries to be the best person to everybody at all times. “I can’t cook but I get fed at the Launching Pad,” he quipped.
