Customers at Riverfront Lanes in Wilmington will recognize the friendly smile belonging to Jon Roesler (left), this month’s recipient of the Wilmington Chamber’s employee of the month trophy. Roesler, who’s worked the bowling alley’s service counter 12 years, accepts the trophy from chamber ambassador Stefany Gumm, branch manager at Grundy Bank. Roesler was nominated by a customer who noted that he “is the kindest and most helpful young man.” Jon enjoys interacting with people from Wilmington and neighboring towns. “It’s rewarding when I can teach people or help them improve on their bowling game,” Roesler said. “It’s just a really comfortable and friendly environment here and I think that’s why most people enjoy it here.” He praised his coworkers for keeping work fun and entertaining; and said his goal is to make his customers have an enjoyable time too.
