Rotary offers free programs

Discover a wealth of engaging programs offered by the Rotary Club of Wilmington, all free of charge and open to residents of all ages. No need to commit to every session – drop in whenever you can!

  1. Pollinator Garden Program:
    • Presenter: Nancy Kuhajda, Will County Master Gardener
    • When: Third Tuesday of the month, 6-7pm
    • Where: Wilmington Island Park District office
    • Topics include winter sowing, native plants, landscaping, and attracting butterflies. More classes to follow!
  2. Wilmington Stargazers Program:
    • Presenter: Sean Cunneen, Kankakee Stargazers
    • When: First Wednesday of the month, 2-3pm
    • Where: Wilmington Island Park District office
    • Learn about telescopes, basic astronomy, and enjoy night viewing. No equipment needed!
  3. Wilmington Historical 5 Lecture Series:
    • Presenter: Sandy Vasko, Director of Will County Museum
    • When: Third Saturday of the month, 1-2pm
    • Where: Wilmington Public Library District office
    • Engage in a fascinating journey through the Illinois Territory, Canal Boat Era, Railroads, Civil War, and Highways/Route 66.
